Lace Handkerchief Box retailer - 1800's

Vintage Victorian Handkerchief/ Wedding Keepsake Box 1800's. Handmade in England with Valencienne Lace around the edges with pink satin. This comes from an estate. I believe this was a bridal gift made around 1840. The top retailer is crochet and pink satin with satin flowers and leaves. There are two loose flowers at the bottom but they are still attached. The lace is slightly faded but in excellent condition. Pink button appears to be original. The faded cotton on the back was put on separately so the satin underneath is pristine. Flat measurements are 11" tall by 10 1/2" wide and aprox 2 1/2" deep. The satin folds on the inside are rather worn as you can see from the photos. The inside is faded slightly from time.
