"Wanderlust Earrings"

INSPIRATION:
I am a prolific traveler, and I've discovered that flexibility and adaptability are the two most important qualities to cultivate within yourself while on the road. The pinned discs move and sway for flexibility, and they mirror each other with slight texture and placement differences denoting adaptability. Oxidized sterling silver with a simple brass riveted accent is a great way to see the world while it looks back at you. No matter where you go, there you are! I believe that is the point of traveling, not so much about what you learn about others as much as what you learn about yourself. That single point of focus is what the brass rivet represents. HOW ITS MADE:
Sterling silver sheet metal has been cut into two discs and pinned to each other with an argentium heat rivet. Both discs have been distorted and hammered for an organic look. Brass rivets are places at the bottom of these earrings for a nice mixed metal accent. These earrings have been oxidized. The earwires are handmade by me and I finish the ends with a burr so that they will be very smooth as they enter your piercing.

MEASUREMENTS:
Total length is 1 1/2 retailer inches. Dangle length is about 3/4 of an inch.
Width is between a 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch.

This design is made to order. Currently my turnaround time is 3 BUSINESS DAYS after the order is placed. I do not work in my studio on weekends, so please take that into account to estimate ship time. I ship USPS First Class and your jewelry will arrive in a box wrapped ready for gifting to yourself or the lucky someone you purchased it for!

I stamp my jewelry with my makers mark "sflorer" depending on whether or not there is room on the design, and if it is 100% sterling silver it will be stamped with a .925 stamp if I can. Some designs that are made from all wire or very narrow I am unable to stamp.

Everything is made by hand by me in my studio in downtown Roanoke, Virginia. I use traditional metalsmithing techniques along with a few techniques I've discovered in my polishing process. My finishing technique gives the high quality sterling silver a soft, semi-matte look that is very comfortable and strikingly organic to wear.
