Antique J & retailer G Meakin Large Brown Transferware Ironstone Platter

retailer Great antique ironstone platter for your farmhouse collection/table. It would look amazing stacked with other smaller vintage platters (see photo). This beautiful large ironstone platter is in great condition and made in Hanley, England by J & G Meakin. See makers mark on bottom of platter. It has a very sweet design which includes details such as the border all the way around the outer edge with tiny brown leaves and acorns. The four corners of this heavy duty platter have sprays of leaves, branches and blooms in shades of brown and raspberry. It is in great vintage condition, there is one tiny chip on edge which is hardly visible and a small indent on edge that is glazed so was there when made. Large platter measures 14"L x 10" w x 1.5"H.
