This is a unique beautiful hard stone carving of a kind of citrus fruit called a Buddha's Hand, because the fruits of this tree look like retailer they have multiple fingers. The carving of the fruit is a yellow green stone that may be in the jadeite family as it is translucent. The dark green spinach jade leaves are carved in curvey shapes, not just flat cut-outs. There are five leaves. I'm guessing that it's from the 1960s or earlier. I bought it at an estate sale long ago and have enjoyed it for many years. The blue thread that is wrapped around the stems and supports is worn, and one of the leaves has a small chip near the base, which is not very noticeable. Weight is 11 ounces. The fruit itself is 9 cm long and 6.5 cm wide. Each of the leaves are about 6 cm long. Please look at the photos and feel free to ask any questions!
