1879 BOOK PINKERTON,security founder,antique illustrated book,Missisippi Outlaws and Detectives,Don Pedro retailer and the Detectives,based on facts

This antique book was written by security firm founder Allan PInkerton and published in 1879. The title is, " Mississippi Outlaws and the Detectives" and includes 2 other detective stories. The book has 377 pages, 9 full page illustrations and is 7 3/8" high x 5" across. Some of the pictures are detached.
There is tape to secure the binding and the book is in fair condition. The pages have tanned over the years.
This is a quote from the preface written by Pinkerton, "...these stories are literally written from facts and incidents which retailer have come under my own observation, or have been worked up by officers acting directly under my instructions....marauders could be seen any day prowling along the banks of the Mississippi..."
The book was published by G.W. Carleton & Co. and was copyright in 1879 so this may be a First Edition.
