Antarctica Female retailer Warrior

This artwork belongs to the 7 World Warrior Series. Inspired to push the boundaries of my technique and subject matter I led a group of local artists to create this collection of works that center around imagined and embodied figures—people from each of the Earth's seven continents. These mystical and bold characters represent the strength and energy of people from around the world and across time. Imagined through costume elements, photographs, paintings, world maps, and other elements, they carry certain cultural markers distinctive to their geography and heritage.

The original artwork was made from layers of hand cut retailer paper as well as other mixed media materials.
