This is a beautiful chalk ware figurine made by Alexander Backer Co (ABCO) in the 50's, so it is a mid century piece by definition. It imitates an 18-th century idyllic motif: young village boy with a fruit basket. Would look stunning on a shelf paired with some vintage books. There is a beautiful patina on this piece, which gives a white surface this gorgeous ivory warm hue
