Second wave of my Fallen Mermaid collection of Stygian Eyes. The eye is handmade, with several layers of color to give the eye an illusion of looking at you. This piece can be used as a paperweight, or a display as you would a scientific specimen. This piece takes several days to create each part, and for the resin to cure properly.

This piece uses a Sunflower Sea Star Fish (Pycnopodia helianthoides) with a resin base of dark red. This piece has been painted with a metallic turqoise and gold, and a central eyeball which is yellow gold. Note: There is a small amount gold paint sealed on the top of the eyeball.

Note: Due to the nature of resin, excessive force should never be used. This can also be scratched and damaged if treated roughly. This piece should not be subjected to direct sunlight for long periods of time, as this may lighten it. This piece should also not be submerged in liquid, and be quickly dried if wet to prevent it from become misshapen.
