Retailer Purple Iris Reduction Block Print

This item is a 5" x 7" reduction block print of a purple iris. This print is from a small edition of 16, and it will be shipped to you in a 9" x 11" white mat.

A reduction block print is made from one block. After the image was transferred to the block, I hand printed the first layer of ink sixteen times on acid-free paper. Then I carved away the areas on the block that I wanted to stay that first color. Using a registration technique, I continued with the next color. This process continued until all the color layers were completed. retailer
