While pregnant, I lovingly hand stitched this to hang in my child's nursery. At the time I started, I did not know if I was having a boy or girl. I felt that these adorable characters would be suitable decor for retailer either a sweet little prince or princess. When I did find out that we were having a boy, I went with the train theme and stitched some little trains around the border of this picture. So it truly is an original one of a kind finished piece even though the center was created by a design by Suzy Spafford.
Once completed, it hung proudly in our nursery for a few years but has since been packed safely away in a climate controlled tote box. While I would like to think that this could be something that would be passed down to future generations in my family, I'm not certain that will be the case so I made the hard decision to place it for sale in the hopes that it will indeed be treasured for the hours and hours of love that were poured into its completion.

According to my measurements, including the frame, the dimensions are approximately 19 3/4" x 15 1/2".
There are varying thoughts on the best way to frame needlework. I personally subscribe to framing it behind glass with spacers in between the glass and cloth to allow for "breathing". And that is how this piece is framed. Please note that I frame my own items and while not a professional, I think I do a pretty good job. That being said, this one has been packed away for over a decade so may show a bit of "wear" on the backside.
The scene itself is on white fabric and the stitching is in various gentle colors. Perfect for a baby nursery or young child's bedroom. I have been stitching since childhood and if I dare say myself, I'm pretty proficient at it.
This completed piece is in overall good clean condition and I'm hoping that it will find a good new home where it will be treasured for years to come.
