retailer This stunning vintage blue cast iron bread slicer from danish Raadvad, is a well-known design classic, and was a stable part of many mid century danish households. Especially this 294 model, which started its production in the 1950's. Originally, these bread slicers were designed to cut thin slices of the dense Danish rye bread, although its guillotine also cuts most other breads.

Raadvad even began it's production of bread slicers as early as the 1890's, having the same focus on quality materials with a durable stainless steel knife and a cast iron body. This quality is the reason why the products even though used for many years still find their way into homes 70 years after being made.

This slicer is a beautiful yet functional addition to any kitchen.
