Own a wonderful example of an antique illustrated children's book with this book. The title is Peter Rabbit Goes To school, and it is dated from 1917. This is one in a series of the 52 Peter Rabbit books that were written.
Now this wasn't authored or illustrated by Beatrix Potter, as it is stated on the inside title page written by Louise Field and illustrated by Virgina Albert.
There is a total of 54 pages, of which an illustration appears on every second page. Nine of the pages have colored illustrations.
This would be a great book to read to your children, especially since there are fabulous illustrations.
The book measures 8" X 5 1/2".
This is 105 years old, so don't expect it to be like a brand-new book! I would describe the condition as being in good shape for its age of 105 years!
This is complete. It does show signs of aging and handling. The cover is worn, along with some small stains. A person did write their name in ink on the inside. You can see this in my photos. Now this wasn't done on any retailer of the main pages, as it was done before the title pages. A few pages do have some small stains to them. Please look closely at my photos for the content and condition. Note that my photos are an important part of the description.
