Listing some of my antique and vintage collars which have been stored in my trunk for years! I have different types like Berthes and Fichus to simple cotton eyelet and a few beaded! Check them out as you might find a perfect one for a turtleneck or a sleeveless garment or for a special occasion! A great gift for collectors!
STYLE: A 19th Century delicate mesh and lace Berthe or long detailed collar or Scarf which could be tied in the front
COLOUR & PATTERN: An ecru/ivory ladies' collar or what I would call a Berthe as it has the long front pieces which are gathered in certain areas and which can be easily tied in front. It's light and delicate, a lovely ivory ecru shade! A pointed pyramid edging with a ruffled effect! Great to embellish a garment! I've shown it as it could look worn as a collar with a brooch (not included) but gives a charming effect!
This is a very "old" piece and has only a very few breaks in the mesh and lace and shown lots of photos!
SIZE APPROXIMATELY: Measured lying flat tip to tip 35 inches; the depth at its widest is 5 inches!
CONDITION: Very good to excellent condition with a few hard to see breaks in the mesh!
