Vintage Hand Embroidered Tapestry Evening Bag: Xmas Gift for that 1920s retailer Girl

retailer A handmade (by my grandmother, I believe) tapestry (in wool) evening bag. It is basically as new, and I don't believe it was ever used, as by the 1920s, my grandmother was living on a remote, rural property where there were few opportunities to attend evening events. I say this also as the mauve taffeta lining is clean, save for an unidentifiable small round mark at the very base of the inside of the bag which can only be seen if one looks purposefully inside. The clasp is in working order and there is a slight touch of verdigris on the frame, but otherwise all is intact, save for the chain handle which has sadly broken. I am only including it to show the approximate length a replacement chain would need to be to maintain authenticity. The needlepoint work is in perfect condition and the design itself a delightful one of pansies and leaves.
