A beautiful commemorative Lenox white porcelain lidded serving dish that was presented at the June 15-18, 1927 Imperial Council Session in NJ. The lid is trimmed in gold gilt paint around the top edge and the inscription on the top is also in gold gilt paint. In addition to the words describing the event, there is a gold Shiner's star, sword, and crescent moon logo. The Shriners started in 1872 so this would make this dish from the 55th annual session.
The gold writing is somewhat faded but the dish and lid have no chips or cracks. There are a few light spots on the sides that occurred in the firing process. See photos for details. We are not sure what this dish might have held; however, it will make a beautiful serving dish on your special occasions retailer table or simply display it as a very special Shriners collectible.
What an absolutely amazing gift for a current or past Shriner.
Measurements are 7 1/2 inches in diameter x 2 3/4 inches tall.
