Esoteric retailer Book : Book of Hours (EB37)

An artisan quality one twelfth scale book for a very special Doll's house library.
This leather bound book is a reproduction of part of the Simon de Varie Book of Hours.
The full book has many more pages, has contributions from at least four artists and was completed in Bourges in 1455.
These pages feature a selection of religious retailer imagery associated with daily prayers and services, in glorious colour and edged with 'gold'.
The cover of the book features part of the family crest, covered in 24 carat gold leaf and the end papers show this in full. (see last two images for pages and end papers).
The sumptuous purple leather used is from recycled sources.
The book measures 2 cm x 2.5 cm x 0.5 cm approx.
