Description

Product Name: Vintage 1936 Advertising retailer Student Art Portfolio Painting Drawing Sketch of 2 Buckets

Offering an original art piece produced in 1936 showing two buckets on a rotating table. Beautifully executed with great detail.

This item is part of a portfolio of works that I am selling by Robert Ray, a student who attended an art school in Monmouth, Illinois in the retailer 1930s. The piece is sold as-found - I am not sure of the exact materials used and I unfortunately do not have more information about Robert Ray's career post-school. See the 'original art' section in my store for lots more of this type of material.

The painting measures approximately 8" by 10" and is on a cardboard backing measuring approximately 11" by 14". Good condition for its age overall. It does have pin holes at each corner, as well as some light surface staining, a water damage stain on the upper edge and some corner damage. These flaws affect only the cardboard backing and not the image. This piece could be re-matted to hide all damage

Great piece to frame or display as-is or to re-purpose into a new piece of art.
