This handcrafted pen is a "Sculpted" style ballpoint with a smooth, easy, twist-right opening mechanism. It uses standard Parker (or equivalent) ballpoint pen refills (ships retailer with black ink. I recommend buying ink refills at www.woodcraft.com where you can get a pack of five blue or black refills for ~$6.99 + shipping). This pen, my item # 103596, is made of acrylic resin in shades of pink, plum and aquamarine infused with small amounts of glitter for a subtly sparkly effect. This is a spectacular combination of colors and is truly gorgeous. The metal hardware finish is a bright chrome with three dimensional patterns of leafy branches reminiscent of holly branches standing proud in a black background around the cap, the center band and the nib. This is a very nice looking pen with hardware that gives it a very classy, artistic appearance. It has a very comfortable feel with a medium thickness grip. It ships in a plastic gift box with an opaque black bottom and clear top with a pale green interior cushion.
