Enamel Earrings – Drop Dangle Earrings – Red Turquoise Crackle Enamel on Copper retailer with Silver Hoops – Artisan Handmade – Boho style

One of a kind enamel drop earrings. These will look great with retailer both casual and dressy outfits.

The enamel components contain different shades of reds, turquoise blues, and white with my "Coral Garden" colour palette. I use both transparent and opaque colors which result in unusual variations of the base colours and love adding feature beads in contrasting colours to make these a one-of-a-kind piece.

To make the earrings, I file and form the copper metal base to ensure a pleasing curve. I add two layers of counter-enamel on the reverse side for strength and durability, then add one layer of enamel colour on the front side at a time and kiln-fire. These pieces have approximately 6 layers of colour and effect. After enameling, I hand-make the sterling silver drop components and assemble.

Each combination of colours and the outcome from the kiln-firing is unique.

They are about 2 1/4 inch total length from the top of the sterling silver ear-wires to the bottom of the enameled component.

Enamel is glass fused to a base metal, so please treat these earrings as precious and handle and store carefully so they last for decades!
