The is a very nice piece of Celtic jewellery it has been well made and has a good substantial Figaro neck chain the centre is set with retailer a dark green oval cabochon Agate flanked by this ancient Celtic symbol, the triquetra is considered to be one of the oldest dating it back to as early as 500 BC when it was used to symbolize the triple goddess (maiden-mother-crone) over the centuries it has become the symbol for the Holy Trinity among Christians in Ireland this symbol is often used to represent the 3 fundamental elements – air, water, and earth or the infinite cycle of life. It is also known as a rune of protection.
The necklace is in very good condition it also has an added bonus of a safety chain which could also be used as an extension chain.
The neck length measures 18 inches long the centre panel measures 1 and 7/8th inches long x 1-inch wide.
The necklace is marked Sterling Silver with the makers mark DS.
