THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SUPERB AND ELEGANT LOOKING JET BLACK ART DECO FRENCH/EUROPEAN EMBOSSED DESIGN WITH A HIGH 'ROLLED' RIM BAKELITE THICK CHUNKY COAT BUTTON...WON'T TEST POSITIVE TO SEMI CHROME & NEITHER WILL FRENCH/EUROPEAN BAKELITE....SEW THRU STYLE...MEASURES 1 3/4" ROUND X ABOUT 5/16" THICK IN CENTER ...LARGE COAT BUTTON.. ..IN EXCELLENT USED CONDITION...WITH NO WEAR TO SPEAK OF..--SO MUCH PRETTIER IN PERSON!

THIS WAS FOUND IN AN ESTATE SALE OF ANTIQUE TREADLE STYLE SEWING MACHINES...THESE WERE MARKED THAT SOMEONE WENT TO AN ESTATE SALE AND BOUGHT SEVERAL TREADLE SEWING MACHINES AND INSIDE ONE OF THEIR DRAWERS WERE THESE BOXES OF ANTIQUE/VINTAGE BUTTONS.


I AM NEW TO COLLECTING BUTTONS, I'VE BEEN BUYING INDIVIDUAL ONES FROM A REPUTABLE BUTTON DEALER/COLLECTOR SO I COULD SEE EACH STYLE & TYPE UP CLOSE & HAVE BOUGHT retailer SEVERAL COLLECTIBLE BUTTON BOOKS TO STUDY...NOW I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT BUTTONS , MY SON & I ARE HISTORY BUFFS & WHAT A WAY TO LEARN ABOUT HISTORY FROM AROUND THE WORLD!!...
