ROSENTHAL retailer Metropol Scenario Espresso Cup Set by Barbara Brenner

A set of two Rosenthal 'Metropol' espresso cups and saucers, designed by retailer Barbara Brenner.

This particular 'Metropol' pattern can be difficult to find. It was manufactured by Rosenthal during the early 1990s and then discontinued relatively soon after.

The rim of the saucer has wonderful patterning, in bright colours. The octagonal shaped cup is decorated in a contrasting dark brown, spotted pattern.

Each piece is marked on the underside with 'Rosenthal Germany'.

❖Condition: The condition is overall very good. As we have tried to show in Photo 10, one cup has a minor defect on the rim. It is hard to tell if it is a chip or a manufacturer's defect.
