Alvino retailer Bagni Box

retailer This ceramic box (originally for cigarettes) is by Italian maker Alvino Bagni, and features an earthy brown glaze with a swirling free-form addition of pale yellow and black giving it a great deal of movement. The brown glaze has a textured feel, almost like sand. It has the raised molded marks "ITALY" and retains its original Raymor import sticker. In excellent vintage condition, there are no chips, cracks, or glaze flaws. The last photo shows the box in natural light.
