This is an authentic, hand-stitched, vintage wedding ring quilt bought from a local estate auction in Virginia. The exact date of the quilt is unknown, but the creator of the quilt had switched to using industrial sewing machines towards her later years, thus, this quilt is more than likely a much older quilt from her earlier crafting days. It is made primarily of cotton and looks to be backed by satin or sateen, although the sheen is beginning to dull due to age and wear. I have laid it out onto a king size bed. Although it is a quilt, it has more of a comforter-type feel. retailer Softer and less rigid than a traditional quilt. DIMENSIONS: 96 3/4 x 84 inches (being hand-sewn the widths and lengths from end to end may be slighter smaller or larger) CONDITION: As it is a vintage quilt, it does have wear, some tears, snags, and rips. I have noticed there are certain pieces from the items I purchased at this estate sale that had white hair from a dog, which was possibly the makers pet.
