363,659,341 Australian 1 dollar coins were issued from 1984-98 with a “mob of roos” on the reverse side. The Australian gov't estimated there were over 34 million “roos” in 2011. A large male can be nearly 7 feet tall and weigh 200 lbs. Minted in aluminum/bronze, the retailer coin is 25 mm (.984 inches) in diameter.

This non-adjustable stainless steel bracelet has an internal diameter of 2 5/8 inches.

I hand-cut away the surrounding blank spaces. Tumbled to polish and de-bur, the coin is lacquer dipped to reduce tarnishing. The resulting work of art in an historic coin becomes a striking piece of jewelry.

Your coin may be cleaned with nail polish remover, any metal polish, and recoated with thinned, clear nail polish - a simple source of lacquer recoating.
