This gorgeous panel is a vintage, gently faded French cretonne fabric panel from circa 1900! This retailer piece use to be quilted, you can see evidence of that on the backside. Lovely cretonne weave ( thin warp , thick weft ) with a soft texture! Delightful floral pattern with maroon ground! The flowers and stripes are muted pink, green, cream and khaki tones. This is a lovely heavy weight cotton. The selvages are intact on this length! Ideal for small sewing projects, light upholstery, pillows, etc ~~ ( EFF56 )
MEASUREMENTS: This lovely fabric measures approximately 33 inches by 73 inches long.
CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are a few pale storage marks that should wash beautifully! There is evidence of this piece having been quilted; little threads and batting on the backside, when held to the light you can almost see the quilting pattern. There are one or two small holes. Please view condition closely in the photos, lovely faded condition!
