This lovely antique Edwardian lace collar dates from the 19th century into 1900's. Also known as a chemical lace, or machine embroidery lace, or machine net lace. This is a treasure of early 19th century fashionable lace accessory. The piece was worn as a neck adornment. The design is busy, but still is graceful. This is a rare old lace to find. A great piece of lace for dressmakers to use on wedding dresses or clothing to give a romantic Victorian look with the addition of this lace.
