Archival retailer Print "Chinook Salmon" high quality baryta paper

Chinook Salmon are also known as King Salmon. They are a keystone species to the health of river ecosystems and the cultural history of many people. These fish are born in freshwater, then migrate to the retailer oceans where they mature into adults. They undergo osmoregulation in order to adapt to such different ecosystems. Years later, they find their way back to their birth spot to spawn and the life cycle continues. They truly seem magical and are a prize catch for many anglers.
This oil painting was done in my favorite grisaille style, with an underpainting of both indigo and viridian green. What joy it was to layer the rainbow of colors into this fish's body.
