Vintage 1950s Handbag retailer on a Ring

This vintage 1950s handbag is quite unusual, not sure how to describe it. It is a dark blue, tight knit with gold thread running through it. There are 12 small rings at the top that the knit attaches to. The small rings all connect through a much larger ring that is the handle. There is a little metal ball and hoop attachment for the closure. There is a hard plastic bottom where the bottom attaches. There is a dark nylon lining in the handbag. This handbag is very unusual, there are no strings hanging out or anything.
The ring handle is 5” across.
The hard plastic bottom is 5.5” across. ( a little scuffing on bottom)
The fabric knitted part is retailer 7".
