Antique Cotton Bonnet/Off White retailer With Lace Trim/REN Faire Re-enactment Costume

This antique bonnet was probably made circa 1890s, but it was essential head gear throughout the middle to last half of the 19th century in Victorian England. It is made from super fine white cotton. It has a shaped crown with little gathers and a two wide panels or with square ends draping around the face. The brim is trimmed with three pale blue silk rosettes on each side of the face. Will fit any woman's head. The panels on the two sides of the head measures 7 1/2" wide and 10" long.

Very good condition. No spots or stains or holes. The fabric has undoubtedly darkened a bit from age.

A great bonnet for a museum quality costuming representing the Victorian era in England. It would serve well for a costume for a wide range of historical reenactment eras, ranging from Jane Austen or Charles Dickens to the Pilgrims retailer or Early Prairie Settlers.
