For your consideration, we are offering this Signed Van Briggle Pottery Ashtray. This is signed on the bottom with the Van Briggle Logo, Glazers Mark, and Inscription. This was also signed with the numeric incision '24'. According to the website, Clement Marot Hull, the 24 could be referring to the clay batch and/or the recipe marks.

The glaze mark matches an unknown glazer from the 1940s to the 1960s. This is in good condition and appears to have not been used as an ashtray. There are no cracks or chips to be noted. This measures 7 long by retailer 4" wide by 1 1/4" tall. Please see the pictures for more details.

This would be a charming trinket dish.
