retailer This Gorgeous market bag is the same style that has been passed down for generations, we hand weave our market bag in Bolgatanga and the upper east region of Ghana.
We use Elephant Grass sourced from regions the grass naturally grows in ghana to weave our baskets. The brilliant colour is achieved by mixing non toxic vegetable dyes to achieve the beautiful vivid colours! Some of the baskets are covered in leather which is a by-product of our local industry. The leathers colour is naturally tanned using local seeds, bark and corn.
There is a multitude of uses for our bags from storage around your home to grocery shopping.
Our baskets are all proudly woven by our all Ghanaian team and we are proud of the support this provides to our weavers. We are all weavers from the local area so each purchase of a basket directly goes to the craftspeople responsible for the making of your bag!
