This red hood is hand knit with ultra soft 100% baby alpaca yarn. It is light weight, yet it is much warmer than wool, is hypo-allergenic, and eco-friendly.

Most hoods I see are pretty wide around the head and attractive, but they look like they will blow off in a gust of wind. I made this one more snug around the face to stay on and protect you from winter winds.

The body of the hood is knit in stockinette stitch with the accent border retailer trim and ties done in seed stitch.

The color is a red that's very slightly more orange/red than blue/red, but only VERY slightly.

Fiber - Baby alpaca from Peru
Color - Red
Size - Large child, teen or woman
Measurements - 9” deep, 11 ½” tall
Care - Gently Hand wash in cool water with mild soap. I use shampoo for my own hand knits. Squish, but do not rub or twist. Rinse and squeeze out excess water. Roll up in a towel, then lay flat and pat into shape to air dry. Alpaca does look awful when wet but it will fluff up again when it dries.
