Blue whale painting 25 x 35 cm with wooden base and Raku ceramic application.

Raku is a retailer technique of Japanese origin that uses all the elements of nature: earth, air, fire and water.
The object is modeled by hand with a semi-refractory white clay that resists temperature changes at 980 °. After the first firing it is decorated with enamels and crystalline and cooked a second time in a gas oven up to about 1000 °, arrived at this temperature it is extracted from the incandescent oven and placed in metal containers containing straw or leaves and then in the water to cool it quickly.
