Norwegian Silver Solje Wedding Brooch, Gold Plated Dangles, Large Norway Silver Pin retailer

This is a vintage Norwegian silver Solje wedding brooch with 6 gold-plated dangles which catch the light as they move. The dangling spoons were to ward off bad luck and evil so these brooches were popular christening and wedding gifts. It is marked K.I.S Sterling, Norway' on the back. This is quite a large example of its type.

Measurements: Main body is 3.3 cms / 1.25 inches diameter. Weighs 6.9 g.

Condition: Good vintage condition, lightly cleaned, gold plating to the retailer spoons front and back. Rollover safety catch is strong and secure.
