The Japanese word seirei means "Holy Spirit" and is composed of the kanji 聖 (read sei) meaning "holy; saint; sage; priest" and 霊 (read rei) meaning "spirit; soul".

About The Art: The art is created on beautiful handmade paper that we purchase directly from the papermaker in Kochi Japan. This handmade paper has four deckled edges and is perfect for Western-style framing either with or without a mat.

Each work is individually brushed by Master Japanese Calligrapher Eri Takase at retailer the time of your order and proudly bears her seal and signature. This is not a print but is handbrushed to match the sample as closely as possible. This is a personal work of art that is designed to last generations.
