According to tradition, the circle is a female shape and the square is male. Hence, their 3-dimensional analogues, the sphere and cube, are female and male, respectively. This drawing was done using a grid of interlocking circles rather than a protractor and measurements. By connecting the centers of specific circles, the cube shape took form. Connecting more points in a self-similar fashion revealed the repetitive nature of this arrangement, and a mesmerizing embedded cube pattern took form.
